Families and friends of the new Health professionals joined together at the Yuma Civic Center to celebrate the 2015 Summer Graduation as Ms. Amanda Aguirre, President and CEO of the RCBH congratulated them on their decision to be a part of the Arizona workforce on the growing Health professions field

Yuma, Arizona. – With all the excitement for achieving one of the first steps of their future, 28 enthusiastic students graduated from the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc./College of Health Careers this evening.

Families and friends of the new Health professionals joined together at the Yuma Civic Center to celebrate the 2015 Summer Graduation as Ms. Amanda Aguirre, President and CEO of the RCBH congratulated them on their decision to be a part of the Arizona workforce on the growing Health professions field.

Ms. Aguirre presented Certificates of Completion to each of the graduates joined by Instructors for the Medical Office Specialist Class 49 (MOS49) Mr. Mark Ballinger, for the Certified Nursing Assistant Class 67 (CNA67) Ms. Karen Fish, for the Certified Nursing Assistant Class 68 (CNA68 ) Karen Strickland, and for the Medical Coding and Billing Class 10 (MCB10 ) Mrs. Mary Alice Lopez.

MOS49 graduate Jessica Vargas, CNA67 graduate Yeredtnia Sanchez, CNA68 graduate Tylee Whittington, and MCB10 graduate Maria Peterson represented their classes and addressed some words about their experience.

Wittington highlighted:  “We were all pushed to our limits but all came together as one to accomplish our similar goals. This class has taught us so much and we all take what we learned and continue to use the skills and knowledge in whatever field of nursing we decide to do.”

Instructor Mary Alice Lopez was the Keynote Speaker for the Summer Graduation and said this is only the beginning of these 28 Yuma County residents, and gave them a motivational message highlighting the importance of keep advancing and improving.

MOS49 Class includes Paloma Ames, Tegan Angulo, Erick Delgadillo, Doreen Estrada, Miguel Flores, Josafat Gonzalez, Thalia Puente and Jessica Vargas.

CNA67 Class includes Lorena Alonso, Maria Buenacosa, Jessica Huerta, Roxana Mendez, Cindy Palacios, Paola Quirarte, Yeredtnia Sanchez and Cassandra Vega.

CNA68 Class includes Haley Edington, Madison Haynes, Diana Luna, Danell Miles, Jose Villalobos, Tylee Whittington, and Catherine Willey.

MCB10 Class includes Esther Cawood, Paloma Coronado, Dolores Cortez, Yesenia Merida and Maria Peterson.

The Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. /College of Health Careers is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education, approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing, Arizona Board of Nursing Care Instruction Administrators and Assisted Living and accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.

Also, the College of Health Careers is a member of the Academy Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.
