The Children’s Museum of Yuma County is a non-profit organization founded in 2013, with the goal to get an interactive, educational museum up and running for kids locally

Yuma, Arizona – A check donation for the amount of 2,500 dollars was presented to Ms. Lois Haley, CMYC Founder and Mr. Kevin Burge, President of the CMYC Board of Directors, by Ms. Amanda Aguirre, President and CEO of RCBH, during a brief ceremony held on Thursday June 4^th, 2015 at the RCBH Headquarters in Somerton, AZ.

“We at RCBH are glad to contribute to the efforts of establishing a Children’s Museum in Yuma County, where children will enjoy learning through “hands on” activities about science, math, art, music, and have a lifelong impact in the lives of children” Ms. Aguirre said.

The Children’s Museum of Yuma County is a non-profit organization founded in 2013, with the goal to get an interactive, educational museum up and running for kids locally.

Both Ms. Haley and Mr. Burge greatly appreciated the donation.

“We are planning on directing these funds to the challenge grant provided by the Howard V. More Foundation held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to assist the museum’s planning”, explained Mr. Burge.

Several fundraising events have been made by the CMYC since its conception; those interested in making a contribution are invited to send a check or make a deposit in person to museum account at First Bank Yuma, 2799 S. 4th Ave. Yuma, AZ 85364. Checks should be made out to Children's Museum of Yuma County, Inc., whose EIN (Employer Identification Number) is 46-286334 and account number is 130014814.
