Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. Medical Mobile Clinic is the only model in the nation that has achieved this accreditation from NCQA
Yuma, Arizona. - Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. President and CEO Amanda Aguirre is proud to announce that the San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc., and its licensed Medical Mobile Clinic recently achieved the nation-wide Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) which will increase the quality health care access for homeless patients of South Yuma County.
Ms. Aguirre explained that the patient-centered medical home is a way of organizing primary care that emphasizes team care coordination and communication to improve patients’ engagement and health outcomes.
RCBH’s Medical Mobile Clinic is the only model in the nation that has achieved this accreditation from NCQA.
NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition is given to RCBH/San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc. since it has achieved the highest standards of quality in health care in the nation, including management of chronic diseases, behavioral health, and promotion of preventive care, among others.
Also the RCBH/SLWIC licensed medical staff thrives to provide Cultural Linguistic Appropriate Services to break cultural barriers and achieving health literacy.

The RCBH/San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc. is the only Health care organization with a Medical Assistant PCMH Certified Content Expert by the NCQA in Southern Arizona. Ms. Marisol Penuelas with RCBH/San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc. and 8 other health care professionals in the whole State of Arizona earned this certification.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance is a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. Since its founding in 1990, NCQA has been a central figure in driving improvement throughout the health care system, helping to elevate the issue of health care quality to the top of the national agenda.
